Beemer is settling in gradually. She’s still a little slow about eating — she started tucking the food in pretty briskly on the evening of the day she had the first dose of worming medication; but she’s tapered off, enough to be of mild concern. We’re keeping an eye on her. But on the other hand, she’s scrupulous about using the litter box (even insisting on using it to throw up in) and is otherwise scampering around and having a good time during her waking hours.
She also likes watching TV. She was very, very interested in “West Wing” the other night…which has caused her to have the initials “C. J.” added onto the front of her name, for informal use. (Beemer looks likely to be a tall cat: she’s very leggy.)
…In the “unexpected meetings” department: Heading down past the rear entrance of the Dublin hotel owned by U2, we ran into Colm Meaney (formerly of ST:TNG and ST:DS9). Haven’t seen him since FedCon in Germany last year. He has acquired one of those funny little mid-chin beards. Go figure…
