According to an e-mail from my editor’s office at Warner, the book has just gone into its third printing.
Which delights me, and the only thing that leaves me bemused is: why, exactly? Better publicity? A better-convinced sales force? Better word of mouth? A better story?

ok, i guess i’ll have to try to comment on Stealing the Elf-King’s Roses to Diane Duane from here. i found this old post about the book from 2003. i have sent numerous emails to Diane about this book and others, but i don’t know if she saw any of them.

you do not need to be so surprised that “Stealing….” was successful. it is my favorite book of yours, and i have read all your books. ok, maybe not the comic book based ones (no interest, i like real books). i am an adult, age >>40, and your Young Wizard series is, and always has been, as as good as the Harry Potter books.
Can’t you go back to the “Stealing….’ universe and write some more?? we don’t need any more star trek books, or spiderman books, from someone as talented as you. did you never read the professional reviews of Stealing the Elf-King’s Roses?? some of them were great reviews. the book was fabulously imaginative, it blew my mind with all the physics and fantasy combinations. i’ve read it about 2 dozen times. please write more of this kind of fiction. (your star Drive novels were good also).
